Valea Sighistelului

Although only 9 km long, the valley passes through half of them through vertical walls that transform its lower hollow in a canyon. Sighistelului Hollow houses over 200 caves on only 10 km2, being the area with the greatest potential for endokarst background in the country. The most popular caves in Sighistelului sector are : Corbasca Cave (300 m) with Crystal Lake, beautiful stalactites, columns and montmilch deposits; Coliboaia Cave (310 m) and Secaturii Deal Cave (1,450 m) belonging to the same karst system, with rich and varied concretions; Magura Cave (1885 m) with labyrinthine galleries, halls and narrow impressive galleries.

Access on Sighistelului Valley may have as a starting point the national road 75 Meadow - Campeni, which in Campani village is continuing to the village of Sighistel with a paved road. Another possible route crosses the Magura ridge coming from the Bears Cave, and down the path marked with a red dot.
